Benjamin J.G. Ruano

Benjamin J.G. Ruano is an associate in Dechert’s financial services group. Mr. Ruano represents and advises U.S. asset managers and investment funds and their boards of directors, including open-end and closed-end registered investment companies and business development companies. Mr. Ruano’s practice has a significant fund formation component, including the structuring and formation of investment funds that offer public investors entry into private markets and alternative investments. His practice includes advising clients regarding operational, transactional, corporate governance and compliance matters, as well responding to legal and regulatory developments affecting the investment management industry.  

Prior to law school, Mr. Ruano worked for a global asset manager’s distribution arm in both internal and external sales roles and was a FINRA-registered broker representative and registered investment adviser representative.
