Financial Times Shortlists Dechert Twice in its Innovative Lawyers Awards for Europe
Global law firm Dechert LLP has been shortlisted by the Financial Times in two categories in this year’s Innovative Lawyers Awards for Europe.
Dechert is consistently ranked by the Financial Times as among the most innovative law firms in the world. This year, firms are being assessed on innovation in the practice of law, on their willingness to embrace new technology, and on their response to critical trends in the legal profession.
Dechert is shortlisted in the following categories:
Practice of law: Disputes – for securing a landmark decision in the English Court of Appeal that impedes the practice of “judgment laundering” and settles a novel and previously undecided point of law. The Dechert team was led by London-based litigation partner Andrew Hearn and included associate Suzi Cocksedge.
Sustainability & ESG – for achieving change in competition law to accommodate fair trade and sustainability initiatives, helping convince antitrust agencies to adopt new guidelines. The Brussels-based team was led by antitrust partner Alec Burnside and included associates Marjolein De Backer and Delphine Strohl.
Lawyers and law firms recognized by the FT will be honored in a ceremony to be held online on October 14.
