Dechert Heroes, the firm’s veteran affinity group, supports Dechert veterans as well as Dechert lawyers and employees with families in the military. The group provides mentorship and career development opportunities through various educational workshops, events and training. Dechert Heroes also provides pro bono representation, helping with issues ranging from disability benefits to discharge upgrades.
Dechert Heroes initiates events in support and celebration of past and present service members. We recognized Veterans Day by hosting Sergeant Jake Wood, USMC, co-founder and CEO of Team Rubicon, a nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and deploys military veterans to disaster zones around the world. He is also the author of Take Command and Once A Warrior.
